Inspiring lifelong experience through underwater robotics.

3D-Printing AUVs for Climate Change Research

WHO ARE WE?

The first team of undergraduate

engineers 3D print an autonomous

underwater vehicle.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We are constructing an AUV to conduct

research to determine the intensity,

directionality, and statistics of underwater

noise from melting icebergs.

WHERE DO WE WORK?

We work at MESOM Laboratory, an

oceanside research laboratory under

the Scripps Institute of Oceanography.

WHEN WILL WE DEPLOY?

Our Director and a team of researchers

will begin the research with our AUV on

July 9, 2019.

WHY DO WE DO IT?

We do it out of our love for engineering,

the environment, and each other.

Our goal is to create a strong environment

for team bonding and preparation for

the professional world.
